On Friday, its first day in movie theaters, the Anna Faris comedy "The House Bunny" scored big time at movie houses, nationwide, to secure the #1 spot at the movie box office. However, overall, "Tropic Thunder" won the race at the movie box office for a second weekend in a row, coming in at #1 with $16.1 million; $1 million more than "The House Bunny" hopped away with. "Death Race," a new release this weekend, came in at #3 with just over $12 million. All other new movie releases this weekend performed poorly at the movie box office, including; "Hamlet 2," "The Longshots" and "The Rocker."
