Tropic Thunder

The final weekend of the Summer 2008 Movie Season proved to be disasterous at the movie box office for all new releases; they all debuted in the toilet; "College," "Disaster Movie," (which couldn't have a more appropriate title), and Vin Diesel's "Babylon AD." Each bombed spectacularly at the movie box office. Neither of the Wednesday wide releases "Hamlet 2" and "Traitor," could get anyone out of their bathrooms and into movie theaters. On Friday, the first full day of the weekend, the five new wide releases accumulated - collectively - less than $9 million. The #1 movie at the movie box office this weekend is "Tropic Thunder." This is the third consecutive weekend that "Tropic Thunder" has held the #1 spot at the movie box office.
