"February 14-18, 2008 Movie Box Office"
"Jumper" #1
at www.wildaboutmovies.com

Jumper Poster

While four movies opened on Thursday, Valentine's Day - "The Spiderwick Chronicles," "Step Up 2," "Jumper" and "Definitely Maybe" - it was definitely "Jumper" that stole the most money at the movie box office.

As usual, with any The Weinstein Co. opening, their "Diary of the Dead," which they spent little to nothing marketing, and opened in less than 50 theaters in the entire United States & Canada, didn't even have a chance.

While the "80th Academy Awards" are live, right here at www.wildaboutmovies.com, next Sunday night, most "2008 Oscar Nominees" faired poorly at the box office. The big question is, if "Juno" happens to win the "2008 Best Picture Oscar" next week, will it climb to the #1 spot the week after?

Do stay tuned...

For now...

As for "2008 Oscar Nominees" - the ones that performed best this past weekend:

"Juno" #7

"There Will Be Blood" #11
