"October 10-12, 2008 Movie Box Office"
"Beverly Hills Chihuahua" #1
at www.wildaboutmovies.com

BHC

Everything is going to the dogs. Including all of the movie box office cashola. For the second weekend in a row, Walt Disney's "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" bit at the heels of all other movies in theaters to grab the #1 spot with over $17 million. Among the new movies in release this weekend, "Quarantine" secured the #2 position with $14.2 million, while the two A-listers, Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe, had to settle for #3 and $13 million with their "Body Of Lies." The football flick "The Express" was on a fast track to crash, with less than $5 million. And the final Fox Walden collaboration, "City Of Ember," might well have been left on the shelf. It grabbed less than $3 million.
