"October 3-5, 2008 Movie Box Office"
"Beverly Hills Chihuahua" #1
at www.wildaboutmovies.com

BHC

This weekend at the movie box office went to the dogs, those ugly, little, snipping, overgrown Mexican jumping beans, Chihuahuas. Walt Disney's Beverly Hills Chihuaha, featuring the voice of Drew Barrymore and acting talent of Jamie Lee Curtis bit its way to #1 at the movie box office, with over $29 million. Last week's #1 movie, "Eagle Eye," dropped to #2. The date movie "Nick & Nora's Infinite Playlist" grabbed #3. The two religuous comedies, "An American Carol" and "Religulous," came in at #9 and #10 at the movie box office, respectively. All other new releases failed to crack the Top 10, including "Flash Of Genius," "Blindness," "How To Lose Friends And Alienate People" and Anne Hathaway's "Rachel Getting Married." The Ed Harris western, "Appaloosa," its first week in wide release, climbed to the #5 spot.
