To this date, "Titanic," that little movie from 1997, (yes, over ten years ago, now), holds both the titles of most Oscar nominated movie (tied with "All About Eve") and highest grossing movie at the worldwide and domestic movie box office.
For any who forgot, if Leonardo DiCaprio had been nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his role in "Titanic," the movie would have held the record, alone, for most nominated movies in Oscar history. Time has been good to DiCaprio, however. He had been nominated for an Oscar before his performance in "Titanic" - "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" - and last year for "Blood Diamond." Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslett reuinite later this year in "Revolutionary Road." Will "Revolutionary Road" clean up at the "2009 Oscars?"
