"Oscar Trivia" Main Page

Think of the thousands upon thousands of movies released in movie theaters during the past - nearly - 100 years. Only three have won the five TOP Oscars - Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Screenplay.
"I can smell your c-u-n- t" - remember that line from the mouth of Dr. Hannibal Lechter (Anthony Hopkins) to Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster)... in "The Silence of the Lambs?"
More amazing than the quote, at least for the folk, such as me, (thirty six and getting older by the day), "The Silence of the Lambs" is almost 20 years old.
If you want to see how "Hannibal" started out... watch the "Hannibal Rising Trailer"
OK. For the list of the movies that cleaned up at the Oscars... Only three!!!
No, not "Titanic." No, not even "Gone With The Wind." Nor "All About Eve."

Claudette Colbert was so convinced that she would lose the Oscar to write-in nominee Bette Davis that she didn't attended the ceremony orignally. She was summoned from a train station to pick up her Academy Award.
Keep in mind, the above mentioned movies won the Top 5 Oscars, but there have been many, many more movies that have won more than 5 Oscars... Tomorrow, the most Oscar Winning Movies.
