Box office records have been meticulously kept only since 1980. That being said, we bring you the list of the only four movies released since 1980, (through 2007), that not only won the Best Picture Oscar, but also were the #1 movie at the box office the year of their release. (We're counting on the fact that the #1 grossing movie at the "2007 Movie Box Office" - "Spiderman 3" - will not be getting a nomination for Best Picture, let alone the Best Picture Oscar.

We thought you'd like to see the complete list of #1 movies at the box office since records began, in 1980, along with the four movies that also won the Best Picture Oscar the same year as claiming the #1 spot at the box office.
