"Actors With 2 Or More Acting Oscars"
by Tim Nasson
January 10, 2008

Places In The Heart Movie Poster

We all know that Meryl Streep is the most Oscar nominated actor in movie history - with fourteen Oscar nominatons. But which actors (when we use the word actor, the word actress is included in the definition) have WON the most Oscars? We bring you that bit of Oscar Trivia today! And you will surely be surprised to find out which handful of actors are batting .1000 - i.e., won the Oscar for each movie they were nominated for an acting Oscar! Hint. Sally Field has only been nominated for two acting Oscars and won both times. For "Norma Rae" and "Places In The Heart," - which was nearly 25 years ago. She is due for a third nomination and win, with the upcoming Steven Spielberg picture, "Lincoln," in which she plays the mentally ill wife of Abe Lincoln.
