In Time

In Time Release Date: October 28, 2011

In the not-too-distant future the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man (Justin Timberlake) who comes into a fortune of time, though too late to help his mother from dying. He ends up on the run from a corrupt police force known as ‘time keepers’.

Why it could suck… the director of the film bombed with Lord Of War, which featued Nicolas Cage. And directed the abysmal Simone, which featured a horrible script, and Al Pacino.

Why it could be a cult fave… the director of the film hit one out of the ballpark 15 years ago with Gattaca, which starred Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. And is currently directing The Host, based on Stephenie Meyer’s best selling non-Twilight novel.
