The 85th Annual Academy Awards presentation and gala, (2013 Oscars), or Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements in 2012, will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live on the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide.

There are only two sure things - two Oscars that are guaranteed - Daniel Day-Lewis winning the Oscar for Best Actor (Lincoln) and Adele winning the Oscar for Best Original Song (Skyfall). Every single other Oscar is up for grabs and could go to anyone, none more so that the Best Picture and Best Director Oscars. Only once since 1932 has a movie won the Best Picture Oscar when its director was not nominated for the Best Director Oscar; Driving Miss Daisy in 1990. (The film's director, Bruce Beresford, was not nominated for the Best Director Oscar for Driving Miss Daisy).

With all of the hoopla surrounding Argo, and its director, Ben Affleck, not receiving a Best Director Oscar nomination, the film's chances are slim to none for winning the Best Picture Oscar... almost as bad as its chance of winning the Best Director Oscar, which is ZERO.

Do stay tuned to Wild About Movies all night for 2013 Oscar Winner updates in REAL TIME. Right up until the last 2013 Oscar - Best Picure - is announced, around 11:50pm EST.

Publisher of Wild About Movies, Tim Nasson, picked who and what he thought would receive 2013 Oscar nominations in mid-December 2012. How did Tim Nason fare? Check out his predictions below (bold titles and names are actual 2013 Oscar nominees) and the actual complete list of 2013 Oscar nominees, here.

Probable 2013 Best Picture Oscar nominees, picked by Tim Nasson, publisher of Wild About Movies.

Django Unchained
Les Miserables*
Life Of Pi

Moonrise Kingdom
Silver Linings Playbook
Zero Dark Thirty

Probable 2013 Best Director Oscar nominees

Quentin Tarantino, Django Unchained
Steven Spielberg, Lincoln
Ang Lee, Life Of Pi

Tom Hooper, Les Miserables*
Kathryn Bigelow, Zero Dark Thirty

The directors with the biggest chance at earning a 2013 Oscar nomination for Best Director - Steven Spielberg, Kathryn Bigelow, Ang Lee and Tom Hooper - have all won the Best Director Oscar before, with Steven Spielberg winning twice. If anyone is going to get knocked out, it will be Tom Hooper and our money is on Michael Haneke taking his spot for the foreign movie Amour.

Probable 2013 Best Actor Oscar nominees

Daniel Day Lewis, Lincoln *
John Hawkes, The Sessions
Hugh Jackman, Les Miserables
Bradley Cooper, Silver Linings Playbook
(never count out the unexplainable power that Harvey Weinstein has over Oscar voters)
Jean-Louis Trintignant, Amour
LONG SHOT: Teenager Tom Holland, The Impossible, (which would knock Bradley Cooper - hopefully - out of the running)

Probable 2013 Best Actress Oscar nominees

Maggie Smith, Quartet
Jessica Chastain, Zero Dark Thirty
Emmanuelle Riva, Amour*
Naomi Watts, The Impossible
Jennifer Lawrence, Silver Linings Playbook

Probable 2013 Best Supporting Actor Oscar nominees

Leonardo DiCaprio, Django Unchained
Tommy Lee Jones, Lincoln*
Alan Arkin, Argo
Robert DeNiro, Silver Linings Playbook
Christoph Waltz, Django Unchained

Probable 2013 Best Supporting Actress Oscar nominees

Anne Hathaway, Les Miserables
Sally Field, Lincoln

Maggie Smith, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel*
Helen Hunt, The Sessions
Nicole Kidman, The Paperboy

* Tim Nasson takes it one step further and predicts the 2013 Oscar winners.

+ There is one exception to all of the above. If the movie The Impossible is a huge box office success, as well as a critical success, it could sweep the Oscar nominations in most categories and become the sleeper Oscar nominee of 2013, knocking Zero Dark Thirty out. Also, other websites are reporting that Richard Gere and the movie Arbitage are eligible for 2013 Oscar nominations. Incorrect. The movie Arbitrage was released day and date on VOD and is thus ineligible for any/all Oscar nominations.

Finally, WB can trot out as many "For Your Consideration Best Director" ads for Argo and its director Ben Affleck, but he will be left out of the running. There are far too many much better - and accomplished - film directors, for movies far superior to Argo, that will be nominated for the 2013 Best Director Oscar.

Oscars 2013 will be reported about extensively on this page and all of the corresponding 2013 Academy Awards pages on WildAboutMovies.
