Taken 3

In Movie Theaters January 9, 2015

Liam Neeson has signed a $20 million deal to star in Taken 3, which will arrive in movie theaters in late 2014 or early 2015.

Taken and Taken 2 writers Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen wrote the screenplay for Taken 3.

Taken, released in 2009, earned $145,000,989 in the U.S., alone, from just a $25 million budget, which told the story of Liam Neeson's Bryan Mills as he frantically tries to get his kidnapped daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) back from her captors.

Taken 2, which made $139,854,287 in the U.S., but cost $45 million, featured Kim springing into action to rescue her father and mother Lenore (Famke Janssen) when they are kidnapped in Albania.

No director has been attached to Taken 3 yet, (which will probably cost upwards of $65 million, with salaries factored in), but it is likely that Taken 2 filmmaker Olivier Megaton, a protege of writer-producer Luc Besson, will return as the director of Taken 3.

Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen will also be back. However, no leaks yet about where this third story takes place or who gets Taken.

STARRING: Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Famke Jansen
