The first Crocodile Dundee film was released in theaters on September 26, 1986 and took in a whopping $175 million at the U.S. box office. In today’s dollars, that would be well over $600 million.
The film spawned two earlier sequels, Crocodile Dundee 2 (1988) and Crocodile Dundee In Los Angeles (2001).
