Newcomer Alden Ehrenreich, who was simply awful in the movie Beautiful Creatures, steps in the shoes of Harrison Ford for this Star Wars origins movie featuring the ubiquitous character, Han Solo, in the lead.
Even worse than his awful acting, Alden Ehrenreich is only 5′, 7″ tall, compared to Harrison Ford and his imposing 6′, 1″ figure. We’re not sure if Alden Ehrenreich has great oral skills or if his Jewishness was the reason he got the role of a lifetime, as he was ‘discovered’ by Steven Spielberg at a Bar Mitzvah. Look how that turned out for Shia LeBeouf, being discovered by Steven Spielberg. While Shia LeBeouf was a child star (Even Stevens) before Steven Spielberg “discovered” him for Indiana Jones, Steven Spielberg definitely needs to stick to directing and producing.
Making matters even worse for the film that is plagued with an awful actor stepping into Harrison Ford’s iconic shoes, the film’s directors, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, were fired just two weeks before filming was completed and before post-production was to begin.
Academy Award winning director, Ron Howard, who has not had a hit this decade, (directing only these box office catastrophes since 2011; In The Heart Of The Sea, Rush and The Dilemma), was brought on to oversee the completion of the film.
