In the movie Proud Mary, an assassin, Taraji P. Henson, is Mary, a hit woman working for an organized crime family in Boston, whose life is completely turned around when she meets a young boy whose path she crosses when a professional hit goes bad.
Tarji P. Henson is best known for her Oscar nominated performance in the 2009 movie The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button and for her breakout role in the 2005 movie Hustle & Flow.
Proud Mary was filmed in Boston and its suburbs of Lowell and Lawrence.
The film reunites Danny Glover and Margaret Avery, who starred together in the 1985 Steven Spielberg classic The Color Purple.
