Oscar nominee Richard Gere starred in Hachi - in 2009 - one of the best movies of that year.

The film was directed by famed Swede, Lasse Hallström, (My Life As A Dog, Chocolat, The Cider House Rules). But that movie, Hachi, didn't even make it to U.S. theaters.
