U.S Movies & Foreign Movies (Never?) To Be Released In The U.S.

Movie studios are NOT thinking of just you - the American moviegoer - when they make a movie. Nine of the highest grossing movies of the past 10 years, movies made in the United States, have grossed more money abroad than at home. The one caveat, The Dark Knight. It seems that the world loves American movies more than Americans do, thus the international plots, i.e. The Fast & The Furious 5 and Cars 2, to name just two movies released in 2011 that did much more business overseas than they did in North America. In this section, we bring you a look at dozens of posters from 2011 Big Screen releases - but posters for the movies that were created for the countries in which they have been dubbed and/or subtitled.

In most cases the titles of the movies are even different, not just the posters.

Oh, and even more annoying, movies that look amazing, that were not made by Hollywood, that most likely will never be released in The United States, even though their casts include hot Hollywood commodities such as Jason Statham.
