With "Spiderman 3," and "Shrek 3," already out of the gate, and each having taken in over $200 million, ("Spiderman 3," over $300 million, thusfar), "Pirates of the Caribbean 3 can lay claim to becoming the highest grossing movie that opened worldwide on the same week. In its first week in theaters, worldwide, "Pirates 3" took in a whopping $401,000,000, yes, $401 million.
