Grand Canyon Adventure Poster

"Grand Canyon Adventure" - "Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk" is a relevant and timely film that calls attention to the world water crisis and the fact that more than 1.5 billion people, one out of every on the planet, lack access to safe water. In the film noted environment and river advocate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and celebrated author ("The Serpent and the Rainbow"), anthropologist and explorer Wade Davis, journey down the Colorado River, itself a victim of over-use and drought, to draw attention to the world's growing shortage of fresh water. Part adventure story, part conservation call-to-action, and set to an evocative score featuring songs and music by the Grammy Award winning Dave Matthews Band, "Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk" is the first 3D IMAX film to be made in the Grand Canyon. It also represents the largest filmmaking expedition in the Canyon's recent history and the last major film production of its magnitude to be shot in the Canyon due to new protective restrictions. "Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk" is sure to follow the success of such recent nature/environmental films as the Oscar-winning "March of the Penguins" and "Winged Migration."
