Fox Searchlight is really trying to buy an Oscar with this one. Over 400 free screenings, many of which you took advantage of, courtesy of the Free Screenings page on Wild About Movies. However, WAM is not a fan of this foolish movie - that due to the overhype - just may win the Best Screenplay Oscar. The dialogue, by the monsterous Diablo Cody (a punk girl who thinks she is so WGA now that she has a movie to her name), is so fake, calculated and absurd, for Ellen Page, the pregnant teen, especially, it makes one wonder just how she could utter the lines without cracking up at how damn stupid they were - and how much of an imbecile the words coming out of her mouth made her character look. Anyone who actually alleges they like this movie are jumping on a bandwagon that was launched and is being pulled by the shameless Fox Searchlight.
