"Noah's Arc: Jumping The Broom" "Noah's Arc: Jumping The Broom Trailer" - First Look "Noah's Arc" - In Theaters October 24, 2008 "Noah's Arc: Jumping The Broom" - When Noah (Darryl Stephens), a young screenwriter from Los Angeles, agrees to marry his partner Wade (Jensen Atwood) in a small ceremony on Martha’s Vineyard, he invites his three closest friends, Alex (Rodney Chester), Ricky (Christian Vincent) and Chance (Doug Spearman) to travel cross-country with them for a weekend of revelry. What he gets instead is a weekend of revelations where secrets and lies are exposed, hearts are challenged and friendships are turned upside down. Based on Logo Network’s landmark television series, "Noah's Arc: Jumping The Broom" is a sexy, funny and often insightful celebration of love, family, friendship and self-discovery. Of note: In five cities with large black and gay populations, the movie "Noah's Arc: Jumping The Broom" opened on October 24, 2008 - without a movie poster, without an official movie website, and with advertising in only local gay newspapers and on LOGO TV. The movie performed as all Tyler Perry movies do - it attracted its base audience. But "Noah's Arc: Jumping The Broom" had an even harder demographic to attract. Not just a black audience. But a black, gay audience. Its movie box office success is stunning. "Noah's Arc: Jumping The Broom" had an opening weekend gross of $161,302, or approximately $32,261 per screen. STARRING: Darryl Stephens, Gary LeRoi Gray, Jensen Atwood, Christian Vincent, Douglas Spearman, Tonya Pinkins, Gregory Kieth, Jason Steed DIRECTOR: Patrik Ian Polk STUDIO: LOGO RATING: R (For nudity, sexual situations, strong language) THEATER COUNT (Opening Weekend): 5 RUNNING TIME: 1 hour, 41 minutes TOTAL DOMESTIC BOX OFFICE: TBD U.S. DVD RELEASE DATE: TBD
