"Taken"
- Bryan, a former secret agent living in the United States, is divorced; he is fond of his 17-year-old daughter Kim who lives with his ex-wife and her new husband. Kim wants to take a vacation in Europe with her friend Amanda, and together follow the Europe tour of U2. Kim's mother allows this, but Kim also needs permission from Bryan. Since Kim fears that Bryan will not consent because of cautiousness, she pretends that they will only go to Paris. Reluctantly Bryan agrees.

In Paris a seemingly friendly young man proposes to share a taxi with them to the house where Kim and her friend are staying, and so they do. However, the man works for a criminal organization of Albanians to which he reports the address.

In the house, while the friend is being abducted, Kim happens to have her father on the phone. He tells her to hide under a bed and to tell him as much as possible about the abductors, which she does while being pulled from under the bed. She is sold at an auction to a sheik as a sex slave.

Bryan travels to Paris and, due to great searching and fighting skills, while killing many opponents, and torturing one, finally finds and rescues Kim. In the process he also finds Amanda, but she is dead.
