With the news that the planned remake of Dirty Dancing has been canceled - thank god - we can continue to live in the past with the classic original film.

The original Dirty Dancing arrived in theaters during the summer of 1987.

Hopefully the movie screenings for the 25th Anniversary of Dirty Dancing will be much more successful than the ones that were set up for its 10th and 15th anniversaries, respectively. Theaters across the country were empty the nights of those screenings. But, that was before the advent, (pretty much), of the internet and its like, such as Facebook, and Wild About Movies.
