"Shrek 3"
Free Advance Movie Screenings
Follow Instructions Below

Shrek 3 Movie PosterUPDATE: One of the world's most powerful and distinguished anti-discrimination organizations is getting involved in putting an END to this scandal, a scandal that Dreamworks cum Paramount employees brought upon themselves. Stay tuned for more details. However, you can help, as well! The more e-mails sent, the quicker this will be resolved and the faster you will be sitting in seats at Paramount/Dreamworks Free Advance Movie Screenings, once again, as you have for more than 10 years, courtesy of Wild About Movies!

Copy and paste the following red italicized text and put "SHREK 3" in the Subject Line of your e-mail. Viacom/Paramount owner Sumner Redstone will be in the loop, getting your email, as will David Geffen of Dreamworks and just about every other VIP at Paramount/Dreamworks. We're not stopping this campaign until we get you back into Paramount/Dreamworks Free Advance Movie Screenings - neither should you.

By emailing Redstone, Grey and Geffen, they will all see how unprofessional the current regime of publicists at Paramount publicity are behaving and, we are sure, with the support of our 100,000+ Wild About Movies friends - who are not sitting back quietly and will not stop protesting until they are added back to the Paramount/Dreamworks Free Advance Movie Screening lists - will comply!

Simply click on the link below and fire off any comments of your own to what seems to be the homophobes and truly incompetent new publicity team at Paramount/Dreamworks! (For more on the incompetence of current Paramount employees, who have hijacked Paramount publicity, read Boston Society of Film Critic Dan Kimmel's Best Selling newly released "The Dream Team: The Rise and Fall of Dreamworks.") We give Paramount, if they keep the team they have now in place, a maximum of five years, before its up for auction, or, at worst, out of business. Buying Dreamworks may have been the WORST thing Paramount did - contrary to what they thought when they stole it away from Universal Pictures in a bidding war at the very last minute two years ago.

Dear Misters Redstone, Geffen and Grey,

We are a group of movie lovers, 100,000+ strong, and growing every day. We have supported your movies, both filling your Free Advance Movie Screenings, courtesy of Wild About Movies, for more than ten years, and have helped your movies succeed, by telling our friends, family, colleagues and neighbors about the Paramount/Dreamworks Free Advance Movies we have seen, courtesy of Wild About Movies - including, recently, "Norbit," "Freedom Writers," "Dreamgirls" and "Flags of Our Fathers." And, many, many times, we have even paid to see them again upon their release - and have bought the DVDS.

We are not only appalled that Michael Vollman and Rob Moore have chosen to ban Wild About Movies from Paramount/Dreamworks Free Advance Movie Screening and junket opportunities, but we are insulted, because we have helped make each of you millionaires hundreds of times over during our affiliation with Wild About Movies - and this is NOT how we expect to be treated.

Finally, we hear how Wild About Movies publisher Tim Nasson has been discriminated for years by Dreamworks employees, (now Paramount employees), because of his affiliation with gay newspapers. We know that he was told to not publish interviews from Dreamworks junkets in gay papers. Do you not realize that gay people make up at least 10% of the population, but because of their disposable income, money from their wallets make up more than 20% of the box office and over 30% of all DVD sales.

We know that these actions of Michael Vollman, and his new team at Paramount, may have been hasty actions, (certainly erroneous to say the least) but we are willing to forgive and forget, but only if this situation is remedied immediately and we - Wild About Movies readers - are added back to the Paramount Free Advance Movie Screening list and SHREK 3 is added to the list ASAP!

We are confident that you, Mr. Redstone, Mr. Geffen and Mr. Grey, can each make this right and that we will not have to boycott your movies; i.e., NOT attend any Paramount movies in the future and not buy your DVDs. We will wait to watch them for free, on TV, if, in fact, they are worthy of being viewed, if this ridiculous discrimination continues.

Sincerely,

Just one of 100,000 Wild About Movies fans and readers & until recently fans of Paramount movies!

PS. We do not give you permission to use, sell, or give out this email address, as it is registered on Wild About Movies and not your property in any sense of the word. Neither are we interested in hearing from you unless you reinstate WAM & us, through WAM, to your Free Movie Screening lists - and WAM to your junket list, so, as we had for the past ten years, can continue to read interviews with the stars of your films.

BACK STORY ABOUT PARAMOUNT DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WILD ABOUT MOVIES AND 100,000+ LOYAL WAM READERS!

Dream Team, Dan KimmelLast week we brought you the news that the Paramount publicity department, which was hijacked by the Dreamworks employees who came with the sale of Dreamworks to Paramount last year, started a war with Wild About Movies and ultimately you, 100,000 Wild About Movies regular visitors and readers. (Yes, according verified reports, Alexa.com, Wild About Movies is the nation's 14,000th most popular website, out of about 5 million national websites, averaging 100,000 Unique Visitors each week, or 300,000 total visitors each week. Blah, blah!)

More importantly, for the past six months, Michael Vollman, Christine Batista and Colleen McKee, the three reigning devilish souls from the Dreamworks publicity department who relegated most, if not all, longtime Paramount publicists to corner offices or retirement/firement packages, have promised me, Tim Nasson, access to numerous junkets - including "Dreamgirls" and "Freedom Writers" and "Zodiac." BUT - Here is the SMOKING GUN - under the condition that the interviews from such junkets only appear in one of the daily papers I write for and this website, AND NOT IN any of the gay publications I write for, including www.365gay.com (incidentally owned by Viacom, which owns Paramount). How's that for GAY discrimination?

In writing and via one-on-one conversation, from three separate regional Paramount/Dreamworks publicists over the past year and a half, I was invited to participate on the "She's The Man" PA tour in Boston, to interview Channing Tatum, (see interview), the Boston "Over The Hedge" PA Tour (see photos), which Jeffrey Katzenberg and Wanda Sykes attended and participated in, (see feature) and the "Dreamer: Inspired By A True Story" PA Tour, with Dakota Fanning (see feature) - ONLY IF I PROMISED TO NOT PUBLISH ANY OF THE INTERVIEWS IN ANY OF THE GAY PUBLICATIONS I REGULARLY WRITE FOR. When I made a stink, telling the new publicity regime that "Dreamgirls" was a movie that couldn't survive, especially with a successful Oscar campaign, without a lot of GAY support, I was ignored, and disinvited to the junket and all other junkets, including "Freedom Writers," and "Zodiac."

Wild About Movies has, today, emailed Viacom Owner Sumner Redstone, Paramount President Brad Grey and former Dreamworks CEO David Geffen, demanding that this nonsense end and that Wild About Movies be added back to the Paramount/Dreamworks junket list and FREE ADVANCE PROMO SCREENING LIST, as we have been for ten years. (Yes, before WAM, there was www.thecelebrityinterview.com, which provided the same services.)

Oh, and for the record, As of today, (March 16, 2007), 3000+ WAM readers have already emailed Sumner Redstone, Brad Grey, David Geffen, Michael Vollman, Christine Batista, et al, regarding SHOOTER and SHREK 3 Free Advance Movie Screenings. If you haven't yet, do so now.
