"Bride Wars" - Two best friends (Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway) become rivals when they schedule their respective weddings on the same day. Candice Bergen plays the "Wedding Planner" in the movie "Bride Wars."

Trivia: The building in which the first day of filming of "Bride Wars" commenced - Newbury Street, Boston - is one block away from the front in which "Boston Legal" is shot, also featuring Emmy winner Candice Bergen.

April 7, 2008 - Wild About Movies was on the set of "Bride Wars," where shooting occurred all day at James Joseph Salon on lower Newbury Street, in Boston. While we were granted access to the set, inside the building, during shooting, we were not allowed to take photos. The best we could do on that end was what you see above and below. And, if we had had a camera with a zoom (rather than our Iphone) you may have been able to see Kate Hudson sitting in the swivel chair in the salon.

In the scenes shot today, Kate Hudson's hair turns blue, as Anne Hathaway's character sabotages her hair color bowl.

Not to be screwed with, Kate Hudson's character gets revenge by making sure Anne Hathaway's character turns a blood orange color in the tanning bed.

Stay tuned for continual updates on "Bride Wars" as the film shoots in and around Boston through late May 2008.
