A scientist in search of history goes missing in a labyrinth built around 200 B.C. after the discovery of a mummified Chinese emperor. In an attempt to locate the scientist and more knowledge about the amazing find, his colleagues discover a terrible secret that had been hidden deep within the labyrinth for over 2,000 years: A funnel web variety of arachnids swarm through the site. They enjoy eating human flesh and seem to work together in an intelligent manner that horrifies the scientists.
