The movie musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is based on the stage musical of the same name.
The film is based on the real-life story of a gay Sheffield teenager, Jamie New (Max Harwood), who dreams of becoming a drag queen.
Jamie’s drag mentor Hugo (Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant), whose alter-ego is drag superstar Loco Chanelle, is featured prominently in the story.
Originally scheduled for release on October 23, 2020, the film was put on the shelf due to Wuhan coronavirus and all movie theaters in the world being closed. Its new, tentative, release date is January 22, 2021 February 26, 2021.
