The movie Raya and the Last Dragon is an animated from from Walt Disney Pictures that is written by the creators of the movie Crazy Rich Asians. The film is not a Pixar co-production.
In Raya and the Last Dragon a lone warrior from the fantasy kingdom of Kumandra teams up with a crew of misfits in her quest to find the Last Dragon and bring light and unity back to their world.
Cassie Steele, best known for Degrassi: The Next Generation, voices Raya. Awkwafina also lends her voice to the film.
Originally scheduled for release on November 25, 2020, the film was put on the shelf due to Wuhan coronavirus and all movie theaters in the world being closed. Its new, tentative, release date is March 12, 2021.
