The Courier, (not to be confused with the 2019 movie of the same name), formerly known as Ironbark is based on the true story of Greville Wynne (Benedict Cumberbatch), a British businessman who helped the CIA penetrate the Soviet nuclear program during the Cold War. Wynne and his Russian source, Oleg Penkovsky, provided the crucial intelligence that helped end the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Originally scheduled for release on August 28, 2020, the film was put on the shelf due to Wuhan coronavirus and all movie theaters in the world being closed. Its new, tentative, release date is TBD.
