Indiana Jones 5 features Harrison Ford in the role as Indiana Jones once again. The fifth in the big screen franchise that began in 1981 with Raiders of the Lost Ark, is directed by Steven Spielberg.

Spielberg revealed on March 18, 2018 that he would start shooting the fifth Indiana Jones installment in the U.K. in April 2019.
In early 2020 Spielberg spilled the beans that James Mangold (Logan) would take over directing duties.
Originally scheduled for release on July 9, 2021, the film’s production was put on ice due to Wuhan coronavirus. Its new, tentative, release date is July 29, 2022.
