The movie Lucca Mortis features Oscar winner Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby) in the lead role and tells the story of a writer whose last big adventure will very likely be death. Starting out in New York City’s Little Italy, he takes a sabbatical and travels with his family to Lucca, Italy in order to trace his ancestral roots and clean up the loose ends in his life.
The movie is directed by Peter Greenaway (The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover).
The movie has been in development for over half a decade. Both Freeman and Greenaway are over 80, so they need to get on the ball.
