As hard as it may be to fathom, there are movies that were deserving – according to many, (critics and audiences, alike), that deserved to win a Best Picture Oscar… but didn’t.
Hindsight may be 20/20, but the list below is quite accurate and none of the movies featured in the movie posters below won the Best Picture Oscar. Not even Citizen Kane, whose producers procured a movie poster of the film all but boasting its Best Picture Oscar status, before the 1942 Oscars were presented, so sure that the film would win the award.
