Steven Spielberg The Post Interview with Tim Nasson. The movie The Post, in wide release January 12, 2018.

Wild About Movies spoke with Steven Spielberg on the official opening night of the 2018 Palm Springs Film Festival about his movie The Post and the current state of the news media in the United States and what he thinks needs to be done to preserve its integrity.

The Post features Oscar winner Tom Hanks as Ben Bradlee and Meryl Streep as Katherine Graham, the late publisher of The Washington Post.

The Post tells the unlikely partnership between The Washington Post’s Katharine Graham (Streep), the first female publisher of a major American newspaper, and editor Ben Bradlee (Hanks), as they race to catch up with The New York Times to expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that spanned three decades and four U.S. Presidents. The two must overcome their differences as they risk their careers – and their very freedom – to help bring long-buried truths to light. The Post marks the first time Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg have collaborated on a project.

The Wild About Movies Steven Spielberg The Post Interview with Tim Nasson is also available on Crave Online, The Windy City Times and various other major news outlets in the United States.
