The movie The Lovebirds revolves around a couple (Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae) on the brink of a breakup. The pair subsequently become embroiled in a bizarre and hijinks-filled murder mystery, and as they get close to clearing their names and solving the case, the twosome need to figure out how they, and their relationship, can survive the night.
Originally scheduled for release on April 3, 2020, the film was put on the shelf due to Wuhan coronavirus and all movie theaters in the world being closed. It was later sold to Netflix, which launched the film on May 22, 2020.
