J.J. Abrams is back in the director’s chair for Star Wars Episode 9, officially entitled Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, starring Daisy Ridley. He directed the seventh movie in the franchise, the 2015 movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Abrams took a break from directing the eighth film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker concludes the final, third, Star Wars trilogy.
In this final film, the surviving Resistance faces the First Order once more.
Lupita Nyong’o, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac and John Boyega all return for the final installment. As do R2-D2, C-3PO and BB8.
