Embassy Theater Waltham Permanently Closed

June 22, 2025

Embassy Theater Waltham is permanently closed due to the owner of the building, Smaranda Albeck, breaking multiple laws, including federal, criminal and civil. To put it plainly, Smaranda Albeck is a criminal in many forms.

From 2023-2024, the time frame that Tim Nasson reopened the theater, until it closed, Embassy Theater Waltham was the highest grossing independently owned movie theater in New England. The Taste of Things, Inside Out 2, The Holdovers, Driving Madeleine, Deadpool 2 and Maestro had some of the highest grosses from any theater in North America at Embassy Theater Waltham. Concession Sales were also the highest at any independently owned movie theater in New England that didn’t serve alcohol.

Embassy Theater Waltham is currently being operated illegally by Smaranda Albeck and is the lowest grossing theater in the United States. (Karma is a bitch).

Stay tuned for the upcoming expose about Boston Rhythmic owner, Smaranda Albeck, that is being published in one of Boston’s, and the nation’s, largest media outlets. It seems as if Boston Rhythmic, which took over four of the six screens will be permanently closed, as well, once the owner of the building, Smaranda Albeck, is found guilty of many crimes; civil, local and federal.

This is breaking news in the Boston area. Do Stay Tuned.
