"Babel"

Best Motion Picture, "2007 Golden Globe Award"

Babel Movie Poster

"Dreamgirls" took the Best Picture Award for Musical or Comedy. But, "Babel" really screwed everyone over, including Martin Scorsese, by stealing the Best Picture "2007 Golden Globe Award." Jennifer Hudson took home the first "2007 Golden Globe Award" for her Supporting role in "Dreamgirls." However, Beyonce certainly had no chance with Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) with Meryl Streep in contention - and winning - for "The Devil Wears Prada."

Both Mel Gibson's "Apocalypto" and Clint Eastwood's "Letters From Iwo Jima" were nominated for the Golden Globe Foreign Film (with "Letters From Iwo Jima" winning Best Foreign Film) - even though neither were produced, funded or originally released by or in any country other than the United States.
