Bee Movie

In a stunning turn of events, "Bee Movie," which debuted at #2 its first weekend in theaters, inched up a spot to #1 its second weekend in release. Defeating both Vince Vaughn in the first Christmas movie of the season, "Fred Clause" - and last week's #1 champ, "American Gangster."

While two Bollywood films entered the box office mix this weekend the first one to be released by a Hollywood studio, "Saawariya," (by Columbia Pictures), did worse than the independent Bollywood film "Om Shanti Om." Much worse.

"P2" stalled in its first weekend in theaters.

"Lions For Lambs" proved critics right. The movie tanked, despite its all star cast and director - Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep, Robert Redford.

As for the second "After Dark Horrorfest?" It will probably be its last.

"No Country For Old Men," in only 28 theaters, managed to come in at #15 on the Top 25 at the box office list, with nearly $50,000 per screen.
